If you were to amplify oil drums, broken cymbals, battered basses, unrecognizable tape loops, dilapidated voices and push it into the red you'd have a pretty good idea of what to expect from a live set by Denver based band Echo Beds. With the expressed intention of volume as therapy and put through the grinder of the self-practiced DIY ethos- this is visceral, political, and genre defying music
We got together in 1995 as a duo. Made a tape. Got DW a few months later, played a show. Made a record. Played another bunch of shows. Made another record. Played a lot more shows. Repeat. Repeat. TRAGIC BLACK is a five-piece band from Salt Lake City who is best known for their dark aesthetic, decadence & high-energy performances. TB's music has evolved since their inception in 2000. With each release lyrically and musically centric to a different element.
“We have always done conceptual albums and The Eternal Now is no exception, but instead of having a story arch, it is more of a collage. Each song is conveying the emotion of a moment in time. Like the context behind a photo. Not focused on the event so much as the impact that the event had.” – Seputus (in Zillo Mag interview Dec 2012)
